In the setting of Southern Africa, this painting, involving three separate 4x12" canvases, includes 26 animals of 10 different species. The first canvas (bottom portion), includes a family of lions reaping the meal of their labor. The second canvas (middle portion), is the most active, with a pair of saddle-billed storks landing in the grass to the left, a pair of giraffes grazing, a martial eagle hunting for a meal, three zebras migrating to the foreground water, a family of elephants shaded under some trees, a group of monkeys coming in from the trees, and three little bee-eater birds resting on the branch to the right. The third canvas (top portion), mostly includes the vibrant blues of the sky with the tops of the trees, but hidden to the right is a leopard looking towards the viewer while a marbled tree snake creeps up on the middlemost tree.
